History

CentraMark Technical Sales Associates, Inc., founded in 1958 as the Carey-Wolf Company and later operating as Carey, McMahill and Associates, Inc., is a leading manufacturers' representative firm in the Texas area. Having been in business for over 50 years, CentraMark has developed a strong reputation within the territory as a service-oriented firm and possesses a personal rapport with many of the key accounts within the territory. Our organization enjoys a heritage of superior customer service. We are now in our 3rd generation of ownership and we're more committed than ever to providing our manufacturers and customers with the highest level of service possible.

Our offices are located in Houston, Austin, Ft. Worth and Dallas Texas. We serve the 4 state area of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. We currently employ 11 full-time employees and a number of part-time employees. We have eight in outside sales, two inside sales people, and two in our administrative offices. As we grow, our strategic plans include the addition of both inside and outside staff to help us better serve the specific needs of our principals and customers.

Technical Experience

CentraMark Technical Sales Associates, Inc. is a professional sales organization with extensive experience in the local industry. Our organization is oriented towards "the engineering sale"; we have over 150 man-years of engineering, test and technical sales experience represented in the outside sales organization. With our experience covering a broad array of products and various fields of engineering theory, we believe that we can offer our principals a well-rounded and balanced understanding of the market(s) we serve. Our competencies include experience in the following technical fields:

  • Semiconductors (power, power management, actives, passives, ASICs, Optical, RF/Wireless)
  • Frequency Control (Crystals, SAW Devices, Oscillators, Filters)
  • Power Conversion (DC/DC converters, power supplies, PDUs, inverters, transformers, inductors, rectifiers)
  • Thermal Management (fans, fan assemblies, heat sinks, heat exchangers, thermistors, RTDs, heaters, air movers, etc..)
  • Enclosures, Packaging, Containers (metal stampings, custom sheet metal, precision machining, plastic injection molding, thermoset composite, and rotational molded polyethylene)
  • Interconnect (connectors, PCBs, flex circuits, cable assemblies, RF/wireless and optical)
  • Motion Control (motors, motion sensing/positioning, electrical/RF/optical rotating interfaces)
  • Computing (SBCs, FPGAs, I/O, Storage, Recording, etc...)

Markets Served

Centramark provides services to Manufacturers seeking to sell to OEMs located in the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas area. We maintain a database of over 2000 OEMs located in the 4 state area. Our primary markets include Telecom, Computing, Defense, Medical, Industrial and Geophysical OEMs located in the 4 state area.

Communications and Information Systems

The "Internet revolution" has transformed the way companies throughout the world do business. Our industry is no exception. Real-time information and communication are necessities in today's economic model. Manufacturer's representatives, in today's global market, must be capable of providing detailed, real-time information to manufacturers throughout the world. To support this demand, CentraMark utilizes Empowering Systems, a LOTUS Notes based sales automation software package that facilitates the management and tracking of Customer/Program initiatives. Empowering Systems is a synchronized database management software package that provides our staff real-time access to all account information. Our database is maintained on a secure, redundant server, and our sales team has the ability to develop, track and manage opportunities as they materialize with our customers.

CentraMark places an emphasis on communications and strives to provide as much information as possible to our Principals in an effort to engender a stronger, mutually dependent relationship based on shared information and resources. Our sales people are well equipped with the latest productivity tools to do their jobs as efficiently as possible. We provide contact reports and forecasts to our principals on a regular basis and offer "Product Specific" mailings on behalf of our Principals.
